Hugo Pratt et l’Argentine, by Erwin Dejasse – 26.04.23 at 8pm

In 1950, Hugo Pratt left Italy and set sail for Argentina. He lived there for thirteen years, during which he established himself as one of the most influential figures in the local comic scene. Argentina also carries a powerful mythology that, in turn, would nourish his work.

Hugo Pratt et José Muñoz, by Erwin Dejasse – 26.05.07 at 8pm

“Hugo redirected me back to myself, at a time when I had lost sight of who I was. This encounter was strategic, magical.” José Muñoz and Hugo Pratt: two life paths that intersect; two major bodies of work whose reading is enriched through their dialogue.

Hugo Pratt, littérature graphique plastique 1/2, by Joe G. Pinelli – 26.05.21 at 8pm

The emergence of a graphic literary voice in the world of comics—sources, influences, and journeys.

Hugo Pratt, enfant du pays ?, by Thierry Bellefroid – 26.06.03 at 8pm

For a time, Hugo Pratt was often seen in the remote countryside of the Province of Liège Province. He was frequently accompanied by a bearded young man who never left his side. So one might say—somewhat tongue-in-cheek—that the father of Corto Maltese was almost a local child! His friendship with Comès led him to take an interest not only in the work of the author of Silence and La Belette, but more broadly in the Battle of the Ardennes. The two men, in a sense, found each other. Different—one as taciturn as the other was exuberant—they nevertheless shared many similarities and a common passion for music, black and white aesthetics, and suspended moments in time.
